Reading and saved stories

You can read The Outlook without an account. Saved story identifiers are stored in your browser’s local storage. They stay on that browser and can be removed with the bookmark button or by clearing site data. We do not send your saved-story list to analytics.

Audience measurement

Audience analytics is currently disabled. When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics helps us understand which public pages readers visit. It uses aggregated statistics without analytics cookies or advertising identifiers. The service processes ordinary request information to produce visitor, device, approximate location and traffic-source statistics; its visitor identification is limited to a 24-hour period.

When interaction measurement is enabled, we count article views, 30 seconds of visible reading, progress through an article, and clicks on Polymarket, sources and related stories. Event properties contain the public article identifier and category; the event name identifies the link’s placement. We do not send article text, search terms, form contents, email addresses, saved-story lists or outbound destination URLs.

We remove query strings and fragments from page addresses before measurement. We also skip collection when an external referrer contains detailed paths or query data. The site honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by disabling this analytics integration. Blocking the analytics script does not prevent reading.

Hosting and external services

Our hosting provider processes ordinary request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to serve pages, maintain security and troubleshoot errors. The site retrieves public market data from Polymarket. Clicking an external source takes you to a site with its own privacy practices.

Messages you send

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond, investigate corrections, or follow up on your request.

Advertising and subscriptions

This version does not include advertising pixels or advertising cookies. Any subscription form explains how the information you provide will be used before you submit it.
